Captain Brian Trilogy

Books in the Trilogy are sequential, spanning nearly a decade. The award-winning Greater Trouble in the Lesser Antilles is a good place to start, but each book stands on its own.

My New Hobby

On July 1, 2011 a five-second downburst destroyed over 100 trees, giving me a new hobby in building-repair and landscaping. The downburst added another weather event to the typhoon and hurricane I had already experienced. Common to all three events was the corrugated steel roofing soaring and spinning like boomerangs.

We lost a lovely ash and a Kentucky tobacco tree by the deck.

We were quite literally up to our eyeballs (eaves) in fallen trees.

The 80-foot brick planter and redwood fence that protected us from the village.
Cleanup proceeds apace.

Got the last tree out of the river to ease swan traffic.
